Welcome to School of Computational Sciences, Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University. The University has adopted School System since from 2008, where the idea is to group various academic department under one umbrella. The School of Computational Sciences nomenclature was given on 27 March, 2008. The School of Computational Sciences building is having 2930 Sq. M. area and its construction cost is Rs. 1.85 Cr.
The School of Computational Sciences has working academic departments, in which two year M. Sc. in Mathematics Post Graduate Course part of Department of Mathematics was started in the year 2005 and M. Sc. in Statistics Post Graduate Course part of Department of Statitistics was started in the year 2007. The three year M. C. A. Post Graduate Course part of Department of Computer Application was started in 1998. The Department of Bio-Statistics has got started from year 2019. The Department of Computer Science has stated two year M. Sc in Computer Science from year 2005. The Post PG research is undertaken in the form of Ph. D. in Statistics and Ph. D. in Computer Science.
The School has well equipped computer labs with 190 computers and 3 IBM servers, Five high quality Scanners, .NET, SPSS, MINITAB, MATLAB and SYSTAT software.
The major research areas of the various departments part of the Schools are Industrial Statistics, Statistical Inference, Fuzzy Set Theory, Soft Set Theory Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Content Based Image Retrieval, Artificial Intelligence.
The Students of this School are supported with various national scholarships, fellowships and earn and learn schemes to fulfill their desire of education on university premises. We have well experienced and qualified faculty members with different areas of specialization. The Students are motivated to participate in extra curricular activities like National Service Scheme, AVISHKAR Research Festival etc.
The School of Computational Sciences is committed to have the best infrastructure and facilities so as to ensure standards of excellence and supreme quality for the students. The various department gives various facilities for imparting good quality higher education and conducting advanced research.
